Hate it. Bring Back Old Versions

I hate, hate, hate this version of iMovie. Its so hard to navigate and it really screws up the view of my images. Why do my images show up wide when I need them to be center and square???
I worked with iMovie 8 in the past and loved it. I wish I could download older versions but my software wont let me. Ridiculous. Apple, if it aint broke, dont fix it!
