Most common use taken away, bugs and glitches

I have been using iMovie a year or so. Yet it seems the recent update has stopped me from using literally ALL of my songs in the app. It has an over a cloud beside the name and when I tap of the song it gives an error message saying, "this song is DMR protected and cannot be used with iMovie". So now my most common use of iMovie is taken away.
Also: THE APP GLITCHES LIKE CRAZY! I cant even open a movie without it freezing immediately and crashing. Yes, I deleted and reinstalled the app. I cant even make a movie anymore. I wish I could go back to the last version, it would make the app a lot better.
