video not saving????

i normally love imovie, but i just recently made a 4 minute and 54 second video and every time i try to save it, the loading bar goes about 1/4
of the way, then stops. I left it to download all night, when i woke up, IT HADNT MOVED A BIT. im so frustrated. all i want to do is save this video & imovie wont let me. i still have over 40 available gb, so its not like i dont have enough storage to save my video. can anyone help? i just want to save my project ughhhhhhh.
